Lil Intro (worth it)
Congrats! Your life decisions have brought you to this blog. See the title? This is my first post, and probably going to be the worst, hence the famous saying. As a bored college kid who is home for the summer, I wanted to spice up my life. “How can I un-bored myself?” A question I seem to be stumbling upon ever since coming home from school–I just finished my first year in college. As a passionate writer who loves introspection and touching on personal and relatable topics, I decided to make a blog. I personally love my blog title, L.A.T.E., Life. After. Ten. Everyday. But why 10? Because my thoughts love to brew after dinner and a nice shower. I get to sit in my bed, behind a screen, and just type. This content will be loved and totally hated on by people. You really have to let go and just read. Prepare yourself to be engulfed in my world, which so happens to be the world a lot of college kids are spinning in.
Bring Back Summer
Man summer used to be a great time. As a child, you either went to camp all day, or stayed home and watched tv during the summer. As a college kid, you either go to work all day, or watch tv during the summer. Doesn’t seem like that much of a difference, however, let’s unpack why being a college kid during the summer needs an update. Summer just isn’t as exciting as it used to be. Summer is now filled with work and occasional hangouts with your friends–but the hangouts aren’t what they used to be! I cant speak too much on that now, but definitely in another post. When I’m not working I am struggling to get myself out of the house and into the gym. I don’t need the gym, but it definitely makes me feel better so I try to go. But how can I go to the gym when it is 100 degrees outside?!?!? Stepping foot outside makes me want to die. Yes, I know, the gym has AC. BUT that doesn’t matter. it’s the fact that It is 100 degrees outside and when I step out of my house I melt away. Sorry for the sidetrack there; that will happen a lot! Anyways, the heat. Back as a child it never got this hot. I swear it was always nice mid 80s degree weather. The environment was more peaceful back then. Birds chirped, squirrels ran, and the neighbors actually made themselves visible to the public.
